“Birkin / Gainsbourg – The symphonic”

"Birkin / Gainsbourg – The Symphonique" was created during summer, 2016 under the impulse of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Francofolies of Montreal, for two performances commemorating the 25th anniversary of the death of Serge Gainsbourg.
This concert has toured worldwide: Jane Birkin has performed her greatest hits on exceptional arrangements of Nobuyuki Nakajima, with the best orchestras in the world on the most prestigious music stages and in the biggest music festivals.
As an artistic extension of this adventure, Jane Birkin wanted to offer a more intimate version of this "classic" rediscovery of Serge Gainsbourg's songs: "Birkin/Gainsbourg Intimate Symphony". Nobuyuki Nakajima has created new arrangements for byte and she presents her repertory accompanied by Nakajima on the piano and a chamber orchestra of seven musicians.
